E. Cox Removals Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work:

Removals:

We provide professional packing, loading, transportation, and unloading of household goods and/or office equipment as agreed upon in the quote. We also provide Waste disposal services.

2. Quotations and Acceptance:

Quotation Validity:

Our quotations are valid for [30] days from the date of issue and are subject to availability.

Acceptance:

Your acceptance of the quotation constitutes a binding agreement between us.

Changes:

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be agreed upon in writing and may result in additional charges. 

3. Customer Responsibilities:

Access:

You must ensure clear and safe access to your property for our vehicles and equipment. 

Inventory:

You are responsible for providing an accurate inventory of items to be moved or removed. 

Valuable Items:

You are responsible for declaring the value of any valuable items to be moved or removed. 

Preparation:

You are responsible for preparing your property for the move or removal, including emptying drawers, cupboards, and appliances. 

Payment:

You agree to pay the agreed-upon completion fee, as outlined in the quotation. 

4. Our Responsibilities:

Care: We will exercise reasonable care in handling and transporting your goods. 

Insurance: We will provide insurance for your goods in transit, as agreed upon in the quotation. 

 

5. Liability:

Damage:

We are liable for damage to your goods caused by our negligence, up to the insured value. 

Exclusions:

We are not liable for damage caused by normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or damage caused by improper packing by the customer. 

Time Limit:

Claims for damage must be made within [14] days of the move or removal. 

6. Payment:

Deposit: A deposit of [20]% of the total fee may be required to secure the booking. [On bookings of £200.00] and above.

Balance: The remaining balance is due on completion of the move or removal. 

Payment Methods: We accept [Bank transfer, Cash and Card]. 

7. Cancellation:

Cancellation Fee: If you cancel the move or removal, a cancellation fee may apply, as outlined in the quotation. (For orders £200.00 and above).

Notice: You must provide us with [2] days' notice of cancellation. 

8. Termination:

Termination by Us:

We may terminate the agreement if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions, or if we are unable to complete the move or removal due to circumstances beyond our control. 

Termination by You:

You may terminate the agreement with [2] days' notice, no cancellation fee. 

However after this period you are subject to the cancellation fee. (This will cover any works that have been completed and admin charges).

 

Special circumstances apply depending on the job circumstances:

 

If the homeowner is unable to be present at the completion of the job to make payment, then a 50% deposit will be required before the job is started. Then 50% of the outstanding balance must be paid once the job is completed by putting all the necessary waste into the van ready to be disposed of. 

Alternatively if this is a removal job the items being relocated must be taken to the property and once verified and content the 50% outstanding balance must be paid on receipt of the goods.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of [United Kingdom].
